Design an AI powered chatbot workflow which could be suitable for Healthcare Industry. Please make sure the workflow is suitable to show patient journey including senior, children, anxious patients & caregivers.

Problem scenarios to consider while building workflow

  • I can't understand these medical websites — it's too complex.
    Problem Statement: Elderly patients often struggle with complex navigation and small text sizes on healthcare platforms, making it difficult for them to access important medical information or communicate with their providers confidently.
  • How do I explain this to my child?
    Problem Statement: Parents and young patients find it challenging to engage with clinical information that isn't tailored to a child's level of understanding, leading to fear, confusion, and a lack of trust in digital healthcare tools.
  • I feel overwhelmed and alone after my appointment.
    Problem Statement: Anxious or emotionally vulnerable patients frequently feel unsupported post-consultation due to a lack of empathetic follow-up, personalized communication, and mental health-aware chatbot responses.
  • Did I forget to take my meds again?
    Problem Statement: Patients managing ongoing treatments often forget medications, follow-ups, or lifestyle instructions due to the absence of proactive and personalized digital nudges integrated into their care journey.
  • Is anyone really listening to me online?
    Problem Statement: Caregivers and community members navigating patient websites often experience impersonal or scripted chatbot interactions that fail to recognize emotional tone, context, or urgency in communication.

Manipal Makeathon Contest - General Terms and Conditions

By submitting your entry to the Manipal Makeathon Contest, you agree to the following:

  • All ideas, content, and creative materials submitted must be original, authentic, and created solely by you or your team. Plagiarized, copied, or imitation work from any existing source will lead to immediate disqualification.
  • Submissions must align with the core values of healthcare - promoting awareness, empathy, trust, and well-being - and must highlight Manipal Hospitals either thematically or narratively, depending on the category.
  • Any references, mentions, depictions, or indirect promotion of competing hospitals, healthcare brands, or institutions is strictly prohibited. Violation of this rule will result in disqualification.
  • A contestant may participate in one or all four modes, but only one entry is allowed per mode.
  • Google is the official tech partner for the Manipal Makeathon Contest. All selected winners will receive a joint certificate from Manipal Hospitals and Google, in recognition of their creativity, innovation, and impact.

  • All entries, once submitted, become the intellectual property of Manipal Hospitals. Manipal Hospitals retains full rights to use, adapt, enhance, reproduce, or implement any part of the submissions across its platforms or campaigns, with or without modifications.
  • Prize money for winning entries is awarded per position, not per individual. If a team wins, the prize amount is awarded to the team as a single entity and must be internally distributed by the team. If an individual wins, the full amount is awarded to the individual.
  • Please note all your travel, accommodation or any expense that is incurred during the hospital visit or if you have been selected for a Google Tour has to be borne by yourself.
  • By entering this contest, you grant Manipal Hospitals the right to share your entry across digital, print, and on-ground platforms with appropriate attribution (where applicable). You also agree to participate in promotional activities related to the contest if selected.
